Good morning, friends! Hope you had a great weekend. If you’re in the Northeast like me, you’re starting yet another Monday morning in a winter storm. Yuck! Is it spring yet? Today, I have a bunch of random life updates I wanted to share with you, so let’s get to it.
First up: I’m excited to announce that last week, I received an e-mail letting me know that I was accepted as a #SweatPink Ambassador! FitApproach/Sweat Pink is a community of health-focused women who kick ass, chase their goals and support each other along the way. And to start things off, I’m joining the #SweatPink community and Prana in the #BringingYogaBack challenge.
1) Follow @prAna on Instagram
2) Post a pic of yourself doing the pose of the day – you don’t have to post every day to enter
3) Use #bringingyogaback #taketheleap and tag both @prAna and @fitapproach
4) Get your friends & family in on the fun
The yoga fun starts today, so get on it! And be sure to follow me on Instagram and see my attempts at these poses too! 😉
Speaking of fitness and social media, I’m also participating in this month’s #WODSwap, hosted by Jennifer at Wine to Weightlifting. It’s basically a pen pal program, where you get matched with another CrossFitter, get to know them a bit and swap some gear (up to a $25 limit). I’m all about this, because A) y’all know I love CrossFit, B) I love meeting and interacting with new fitness friends and C) who doesn’t love fun new gear?! Entry is closed for February, but be sure to check it out for next month if you’re interested!
Last but not least, I’m studying to become a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). It’s something that has been on my mind since I attended FNCE and listened to a lecture about how RD’s can step up their fitness game. So when I came across a discount code for the CPT course last week, I jumped on it. I have 6 months to hit the books and take my exam. Eek-wish me luck!
Phew. That’s all I have for today! Have a great Monday, friends!
How’s the weather near you? An endless winter? Have you ever done an Instagram challenge? Any advice for this not-so-bendy yogi?
